The SOFLO Boat Show, held in Fort Lauderdale, FL is one of the premier events for boating enthusiasts, industry professionals, and anyone interested in maritime activities. This year's show, which took place over a sun-drenched weekend in May, did not disappoint, offering a spectacular array of exhibits, activities, and experiences that catered to a diverse audience.
The Venue
The event was hosted at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, a prime location that provided a picturesque backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway. The layout was well-organized, with clearly marked sections for different types of boats, accessories, and services.
The atmosphere was vibrant, with a palpable sense of excitement and anticipation in the air. Attendees ranged from seasoned boat owners to curious families looking for a fun day out, including kids interested in new toys for the water. WSVN Channel 7 news stopped by and dedicated some airtime to showcasing our masks.
Exhibits and Highlights
Our exhibit featured a mermaid in our own water tank, showing off the various snorkel masks within our collection. Both the MOFLOW+ snorkels and Cartoon models for kids were shown and quite popular with the crowd.
The show featured over 1,000 boats, from luxurious yachts to nimble speedboats, each more impressive than the last. Notable exhibitors included industry giants such as Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, and Azimut Yachts. One of the standout displays was the debut of the new Sunseeker Predator 55 EVO, which drew large crowds with its sleek design and innovative features.
In addition to the boats themselves, the show offered a comprehensive selection of marine accessories and services. From cutting-edge navigation systems and eco-friendly engines to bespoke boat interiors and maintenance services, there was something for every boating need. The "Innovation Zone" was particularly popular, showcasing the latest advancements in boating technology, including autonomous navigation systems and sustainable energy solutions.
Activities and Experiences
The SOFLO Boat Show is more than just a static display; it's an interactive experience designed to engage visitors of all ages. One of the highlights was the series of on-water demonstrations, where attendees could see the boats in action. These demonstrations included high-speed runs, maneuverability tests, and even a few thrilling rescue simulations by the U.S. Coast Guard.
For those looking to get their feet wet, the show offered hands-on boating lessons and guided tours of the nearby waters. Kids were not left out, with dedicated areas featuring fun and educational activities such as knot-tying workshops, fishing tutorials, and a mini regatta.
It was a great experience to showcase our brand, meet new people, and push the brand name farther along! We look forward to the new exhibition and especially, next year’s SOFLO Boat Show!
